With the global sewage treatment issues have become increasingly prominent,finding out economical and convenient method to identify sewage treatment already become a serious problem. Thus, photocatalytic wastewater treatment technology quickly attracted people’s attention, the excellent properties of semiconductor materials as photocatalysts has attracted attention. BiOI unique electronic structure, catalytic properties and good optical properties,has become a hot topic in the field of photocatalysis. In this paper, BiOI was studied from the following aspects:(1) BiOI prepared by coprecipitation. Samples were characterized by XRD, DRS, SEM,TEM and photocatalytic, the results show that BiOI has good photocatalytic properties,optimal conditions when sample prepared at 60℃, PVP amount 0.02 g, amount of citric acid0.2g, reaction time 8h, the reaction solvent is ethanol 100 mL + 100 mL water. Meanwhile, the photocatalytic results showed that dye degradation rate of 95% when the reaction is carried out 120 min.(2) Bi2S3/BiOI composites prepared by ion exchange. Samples were characterized by XRD, DRS, SEM, TEM, EDS, the results show that doping can improve the photocatalytic activity Bi2S3 BiOI doped Bi2S3 will change the degree of crystallinity of the sample, and the sample size is reduced, and the surface lamellar structure becomes fine particles are attached form. But little Bi2S3 doping on the structure and crystallization of samples and the effect of light absorption properties and photocatalytic activity. Meanwhile, the photocatalytic results showed that dye degradation rate of 90%.when the reaction is carried 60 min.(3) Ag3PO4/BiOI composites prepared by liquid. Samples were characterized by XRD,DRS, SEM, TEM, EDS, the results show that Ag3PO4 doping can significantly improve BiOI photocatalytic activity of the photocatalytic. the photocatalytic results showed that the dye degradation rate of 90%. when reaction is carried out in 30 min.
