Based on practical investigation and study, facing the problems of low production and efficiency caused by high gas content in Xi he coal mine, this thesis stands on No.10 coal seam working face, established gas pre-drainage system by analyzing the occurrence of coal seam, gas content and roadway layout. In view of fluid mechanics theory, using COMSOL simulation software to do computer numerical simulation, this thesis finally got the parameters of gas extraction and drilling technique that suitable for the working face. Finally, drill holes were fixed based on the research result of No.10 coal seam experimental working face. The result showed that the simulation technical parameters work well according to 5 months pre-drainage record that got from working face.Facing the problems of increasing gas content and gas pressure at the process of deep exploration at No.10 coal seam in Xi he coal mine, this thesis analyzed and demonstrated the possibility of gas pre-drainage by calculating the coal seam gas parameters at the working face. The research also provided premise and relative data to the No.10 coal seam working face. In view of fluid mechanics theory, using COMSOL simulation software to do computer numerical simulation, the drilling diameter, orifice negative pressure, pre-drainage time and spacing of holes were fixed according to the results of numerical simulation. The practical gas drainage investigation and the real parameters of drainage flow, concentration and gas drainage efficiency showed the designed parameters of gas pre-drainage is reliable, and also provided scientific base and guidance to the gas control in neighboring coal mines.
