In recent years, UV-curing technology in China has developed quickly and has been widely applied in daily life. As an important part of light-curing system, photoinitiator has been rapidly grown up with the development of UV-curing technology, it’s necessary to develop some other better performance photoinitiators to meet the need of production. In this paper, two kinds of photoinitiator were joined together by chemical bond and polymeric photoinitiators were synthesized, some research results of photoinitiators performance are as follows:1.With phenylglyoxylic acid and triethylene glycol as raw materials, a novel photoinitiator(D-BF) was synthesized by esterification, and characterized by 1HNMR and 13CNMR, MS, Elemental analysis and FTIR. In the experiment, a series of experiment with different conditions were studied and the optimized condition is that mhenylglyoxylic acid and triethylene glycol mole ratio is 2.1:1 and dissolved in toluene with methanesulfonic acid as catalyst, when react about 5h with the temperature is 105 ℃, then the yield is 84.4%. The product is colorless and transparent liquid and the compatibility with resins is good, the maximum ultraviolet absorption peak at 251.1 nm and 298.8 nm. In the UV coating test, the optimum dosage of D-BF was 5%, the conversion rate of the B-206 polyurethane resins and TMPTA monomer polymerization was 84%.2.With phenylglyoxylic acid and 2959 as raw materials, a novel photoinitiator (BF-2959) was synthesized by esterification, and characterized by NMR and other way. The optimized conditions of synthesis BF-2959 is that phenylglyoxylic acid and 2959 mole ratio is 1:1.1 and dissolved in toluene with methanesulfonic acid as catalyst, when react about 6h with the temperature is 105℃, then the yield is 91.4%. The product is colorless and transparent liquid and the compatibility with resins is good, the maximum ultraviolet absorption peak at 246.1 nm and 320.9 nm. In the UV coating test, the optimum dosage of BF-2959 was 4%, the conversion rate of the B-206 polyurethane resins and TMPTA monomer polymerization was 93%.3.With methylacrylic acid and 2959 as raw materials, a novel polymerizable photoinitiator(2959-MMA) was synthesized by esterification, and characterized by NMR and other way. The optimized conditions of synthesis 2959-MMA is that 2959 and methylacrylic acid mole ratio is 1:1.2 and dissolved in toluene with nethanesulfonic acid as catalyst, when react about 4h with the temperature is 100℃, then the yield is 87.8%. The product is yellowish liquid and the compatibility with resins is good, the maximum ultraviolet absorption peak at 255.7 nm and 315.2 nm. In the UV coating test, the optimum dosage of 2959-MMA was 3%, the conversion rate of the B-206 polyurethane resins and TMPTA monomer polymerization was 96%.
