Atmospheric particulate matter was the primary pollutant, applying chemical mass balance model for atmospheric particulate matter sources profiles was an important means to solve the particulate matter pollution, and the research of the particulate matter composition was the basis of the chemical mass balance model. This study collected Jincheng fugitive dust(re-suspended dust, road dust, soil dust) samples, PM10 and PM2.5 samples were collected through resuspension sampler, PM10 and PM2.5 source profiles of fugitive dust were established, environmental risk and health risk assessment of heavy metals of fugitive dust were discussed. The main conclusions obtained were as follows:(1) The most abundant species in re-suspended dust, road dust, soil dust source profile was crustal element. The percentage content of trace elements in road dust was the highest, the percentage content of trace elements in PM10 were11.92% and 72.77% higher than re-suspended dust and soil dust, trace elements in road dust of PM2.5 was respectively 74.43% and 252.26% higher than that of re-suspended dust and soil dust. This suggests that the road dust source were more susceptible to man-made pollution. The percentage of trace elements EC,OC, ion was highest on PM2.5 of three dust, it showed that trace elements, EC,OC, ion easy enriched on the fine particles. The main reason was that they were came from the combustion source emissions of particulate matter, the combustion source emissions were mainly fine particulate matter.(2) With the soil background values in Shanxi Province as the reference system, with Al as the reference element to calculate the Jincheng fugitive dust of PM10 and PM2.5 heavy metal enrichment factor, the results showed that the three kinds of dust enrichment factor of the highest elements were As, Cd, Pb,they were enriched significantly, As and Pb in soil dust PM2.5 were strongly enriched, Ni, Cu and Zn were mostly moderate concentrate, under the influence of man-made and natural sources. V, Cr, Mn enrichment factor was less than 2,these elements mainly came from the earth’s crust material.Three kinds of dust enrichment factor was PM2.5 higher than PM10, the smaller the particle size, the higher heavy metal enrichment factor, it showed that fine particles were more susceptible to human source pollution.(3) Geological accumulation Index results showed that in re-suspended dust and soil dust, geological accumulation index of Cr, Mn, Co, V was less than1, these elements mainly came from the earth’s crust material, Ni, Cu and Zn were influenced by natural and artificial sources, As, Cd, Pb were highly affected by the artificial source.(4) For three kinds of fugitive dust of Jincheng, carcinogenic risk of PM10 and PM2.5 of heavy metals for children and adult in order handling intake mouth > skin contact > respiratory inhalation; The total non-carcinogenic risk in order re-suspended dust > road dust > soil dust, and PM2.5 > PM10. The total carcinogenic risk value in order PM2.5 > PM10, shows that fine particles have a higher risk of cancer. The total carcinogenic risks of three kinds of dust in order road dust > re-suspended dust > soil dust, and the carcinogenic risk of five kinds of heavy metal in the following order Cr > As > Co > Ni > Cd.
