Among all kings of machine parts, multi-hole parts take a great amount, for example, box-shape parts and bottom parts contain all types of holes such as threaded holes, countersbore hole and through hole. So suitable cutting parameters and tool path is an important factor to improve the working efficiency of holes parts, especially when the number of holes is large, the optimization of machining path will be far more productive. In practice, it’s not easy that technologists get the best working method through traditional methods because of various reasons. As a result, the optimization of working method of holes is significant by using CAPP. This dissertation study systematically the cutting parameters and tool path of holes and the paper will cover the follow contents:Firstly, the paper introduces the multi-holes machining technique and summarizes the present optimization method of holes machining.Secondly, the paper introduces the genetic algorithm basic principle, and point out its defect.on this basis, this article improve GA by Simulated Annealing Algorithm, and tested the new GA by the two typical test functions, proved its reliability. Then the paper set up a holes cutting parameters optimizing function model. The objective function is processing time and processing cost.and solved the optimizing function by GA in the example.Lastly, this article set up a tool path optimizing function model, and the objective function is the cost of the tools displacement and the tool changing. Then it solved the optimizing function by GA and new GA.The results indicated that the new GA has better performance in solved function, and it more adaptable to the actual processing of requests.
