Rare earth metals has excellent electrical, optical and catalytic properties due to the special electronic structure,so that it has been widely used in the field of luminescent and optical materials. Layered rare-earth hydroxides(LRHs) are one family of inorganic lamellar materials that consist of pure lanthanide cations(Ln3+) in the host layer and charge-balancing anions in the inter layer regions which can be readily replaced by other species through an anion exchange process. The virtues of rare-earth ions and layered strueture are simultaneously existed in these kinds of layered materials so that they are potential novel functional materials. Ionic liquid(IL) is known as "designer" solvent. Task-specific ionic liquids can be applied to many fields by grafting various functional groups to the cations or anions part. Lanthanide complexes with organic acid functional polymer(onic liquid) complexing better luminescent properties of new luminous materials.(1) Preparation of layered rare earth hydroxide(Eu2(OH)5Cl·1.5H2 O,marked as LEuH). Then obtained a new light-emitting materials layered, LEuH-TTA, by modified LEuH with TTA, and we analyzed with TGA, XRD and IR. Then in a simple way, we made a new luminescent film with high light and transparency by LEuH-TTA, and characterize its performance by PL, IR and SEM.(2) Preparation of high-purity polyvinyl ionic liquids(PVim), and benzoic acid functionalized poly ionic liquid(PVim[Br]-BA), and analysis by TFM and NMR. Then use Hexafluoroacetylacetonato(HFA) as the organic ligand, combining with rare earth ions Eu3+ and Tb3+, respectively, we got rare earth organic complexes, Eu(HFA)3 and Tb(HFA)3, and characterized by TGA and PL. Poly ionic liquid, coordinate with rare earth or lanthanide complexes can produce a new kind of light-emitting material, and PL, IR, TGA were used to characterize its performance. The experimental data shows that, the coordination between poly ionic liquid and rare earth can sensitize luminescence of rare earth ions effectively. While the performance of the coordination between poly ionic liquid and rare earth complexes on sensitize luminescent lanthanide ions is a little better, and its fluorescence lifetime is increased.
