Vertical magnetic recording technology is currently widely used in the information age of magnetic technology. The magnetic nanowire arrays have become one of the research focus of nano-materials in recent years due to their attractive application in high-quality perpendicular magnetic recording materials. The preparation device of AAO template is simple, easy to be operated; the template has high aspect ratio and high order, and its size can be controlled artificially. So it becomes the ideal material of assembled magnetic nanowire arrays. This paper, using self-made highly orded AAO templates, we have successfully fabricated single-phase Sm-Co nanowires by DC electrochemical deposition method using AAO template in aqueous solution. And then the experiment got Sm-Co/Fe-Co dual phase nanowires by alternate. And the crystal structure, morphology, phase composition and magnetic properties of nanowires were studied by using X-ray diffraction(XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDS), high resolution transmission electron microscope(HRTEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). At the same time, the high temperature magnetic properties of the magnetic nanowires are analyzed firstly by using vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM). The main work and results are as follows:1. In order to find the best process for the preparation of AAO template, we compared all the methods preparing alumina template. AAO template with highly ordered and evenly distributed holes was obtained, which is appropriate for the preparation of nanowire.2. By changing the proportion, the complexing agent and pH value of solution, we have prepared the single-phase Sm-Co nanowires successfully and made comprehensive analysis for their crystal structure, morphology, phase composition and magnetic properities before and after being annealed. In this way, we determined the best technology of preparing single-phase Sm-Co nanowires which laid a foundation for the study of dual phase nanowires.3. By changing the alternate time of deposition, we have fabricated the Sm-Co/Fe-Co dual phase nanowires with different content which was based on the preparing of single-phase Sm-Co nanowires and Fe7Co3 nanowires, and made comparison analysis for their crystal structure, morphology, phase composition and ma gnetic properities. The results show that the saturation magnetization, coercivity, residual magnetism ratio of dual phase nanowires before and after being annealed all decreases little by little, integrated magnetic properities would decline to some extent with the decrease of Sm content. In this way, we determined the best technology of preparing Sm-Co/Fe-Co dual phase nanowires.
