As a important advanced manufacture technology, welding plays a very important role in industrial production. Although welding technology has the advantages of raw material saving, good labor condition, high production efficiency, high strength structure and other superiorities, but welding is a kind of local heating process, the uneven expansion and contraction will cause the deformation of welded structure and then obstruct the normal installation and use. Therefore, how to reduce welding deformation has been one of the academic research topics in engineering field. Before welding anti distortion method in the control of welding deformation has been widely used, but the deflection curve is always obtained by repeated experiments, this paper presents a method of anti deformation calculation of T type components.Based on the concept that the inherent strain is the root of welding deformation,strain energy of inherent strain equals to the deformation energy of the curving plate with anti deformation, the formula of the anti distortion curve before welding can be deduced.The professional numerical simulation software named SYSWELD is applied to simulate two kinds of welding process of T type connector, free welding and welding with anti deformation. Comparing two deformation under different condition, the result shows that anti deformation method can largely reduce welding deformation. In order to make the formula more accurate, adding a correction coefficient in the formula is necessary.Several plates with different thickness should be calculated and the results are derived back respectively, then the correction coefficient curve can be fitted. AS the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge steel box girder unit plate an engineering example, the anti deflection calculation method that was proposed above is proved to be feasible through numerical simulation and experiment methods, and provides a reliable basis to control the welding deformation of the T type component.
