The stimulation effect is not obvious after the radial well technology applied in low permeable oil fields. In order to significantly improve the oil and gas well production and recovery ratio, hydraulic fracturing on the well is essential. The friction loss is very high when sand-laden fluid flow in the well because of the borehole diameter of radial well is only 20~50mm. How to reduce this energy consumption, decrease the pump pressure, and transfer pressure to distal strata becomes the basis of radial well fracturing process parameters selecting. At present there is no systematic research of radial well fracturing operation parameters optimization in domestic. Firstly, evaluating the flow conductivity of different types and different particle sizes proppants. To expect the experimental results can provide reference for the selection of proppants in the radial well fracturing construction. Secondly, studying the impact of different construction displacement, fracturing fluid viscosity, particle size, sand concentration and borehole diameter on radial well friction loss by using friction testing device. Thirdly, ordering on the degree of the influence of different factors by using gray relative analysis method, and gave the preferred outcome of various factors. Finally, establishing an empirical model of friction loss by combining the data obtained from experiments and the existing theory. These studies can provide some guidance for the radial well fracturing operation in low permeability reservoir.
