Owing to direct contact with the crowd, the heavy metals in dust fall have a great influence on the health of the population, which has great influence on human health. In recent years, it has become a hot research topic in the urban environment. Anqing as an important economic center of Yangtze River region, almost has 100 years of industrial development, these industrial production and other human activities increased the content of heavy metals in the dust, and thus affect the quality of urban environment. Therefore, it has significantly realistic and scientific meaning to study heavy metal pollution in urban street dust fall of Anqing City. In this paper, the contents of Cu, Cr, Ni, Zn, Pb, Cd,, As, and morphological characteristics of the heavy metals in the city of Anqing were analyzed, discussed the source of heavy metals, composition characteristics, spatial distribution, and pollution hazard health risks subsequently. The results show that:1. Morphological analysis showed that: Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni mainly in residual fraction; the exchangeable, carbonate bound and ferromanganese oxide bound levels were high of Cd, basically accounted for 30% of the total; content organics combined of Cu with a higher state, accounting for about 20% of the total; to Zn mainly in carbonate bound and oxide bound content accounted for about 30% of the total; Pb and Ni exists mainly in Fe-Mn oxide are up more than 16% of the total.2. The sources analysis indicated that Cu, Pb, As, Cd mainly originated from the burning of coal; Cr mainly belongs to the natural source; Zn comes from the industrial production and construction; Ni mainly comes from metal smelting, mechanical processing etc.3. General analysis accumulation index, potential ecological risks of contamination assessment and heavy metal pollution hazard evaluation show that: Cd>Zn>As>Pb>Cu>Ni>Cr, in which the pollution of Cd was very harmful, Zn reached the degree of emphasis on the dangers, Cu and Pb have partial moderate bio-hazardous, Ni does not have the pollution harmfulness. The potential ecological risk of heavy metals is Cd>As>Pb>Cu>Zn>Ni>Cr, and Ni and Cr as a totally risk-free, Cu, Zn, Pb and As belong to moderate ecological risk, Cd is high degree of ecological risk. Health risk assessment showed that: As>Cr>Pb>Cu>Cd>Ni>Zn, in which the risk of exposure to As has reached 2.72 beyond the limit of 1, easy to cause harm to the health of children, and other metals were below the limit will not cause harm to people’s health.
