Salen ligands and its complexes have been used widely in the fields of catalysis,biological medicine, molecular recognition, [ONSO] Salen-type ligands and its complexes have similar structure and more varieties compared with Salen ligands and its complexes. Synthesis and application of Salen ligands and its complexes were summarized in this paper, and [ONSO] Salen-type ligand and their metal complexes were synthesized on this basis, catalytic properties of these complexes were discussed.The results are generalized as follows:1. Synthesis and application of some Salen ligands and its complexes were summarized briefly.2. The [ONSO] Salen-type Ligands L1, L2 and the [ONSO] Salen-type-Ni(Ⅱ) metal complex(1,2), [ONSO] Salen-type-Fe(Ⅲ) metal complex(3, 4), [ONSO] Salen-type-Cu(Ⅱ)metal complex(5,6)) were synthesized, and their structure were characterized by 1H NMR,IR Spectra,UV-Vi sand elemental analysis.3. The polymerization of norbornene was carried out by 1-6 catalyst system. The results shown that 1 had the highest catalytic activity among these catalysts(1-6),the highest catalytic activity was 1.23×106gPNB/(molNi·h). The polymerization of norbornene can not be catalyzed by complexes 3-6. The polymerization was characterized by 1H NMR and IR. These characterization indicated that the polynorbornenes was polymerized by vinyl addition polymerization. The influence of reaction on polymerization of norbornene by 1 catalyst system was inspected, such as reaction temperature, reaction time, molar ratio of catalysts to cocatalysts.4. The reaction of CS2 and CHO was catalyzed by 3, 4, and it can not be catalyzed 1,2, 5, 6. The product was characterized by GCMS, IR, NMR.The result shown that the product was cyclic trithiocarbonate.The effects of reaction conditions on the reaction catalyzed by 3, 4 was investigated, such as time, tempreture, molar ratio of the reactants and so on.The result indicated that the reaction atalyzed by 3 and 4 have some advantage on the optimum conditions, such as high yield, less byproducts, easy separation.
