In recent years, with the increasingly fierce competition and the decline of the overall industry profitability in the steel market, it’s become the focus of field technical research to save energy without affecting the quality of products. To meet the needs of cold-rolled production and improve the competitiveness of products, the research and control of power consumption and cost for high-speed rolling in production process of cold rolling mill, which based on the cold tandem rolling mill, was put forward, in the premise of ensuring product quality, effectively reducing the power consumption per ton of steel. It has made a useful guide for the production practice.First of all,integrated with equipment and process features of tandem cold rolling mill, the paper has researched the relevant mathematical model. Through the analysis of the product specifications, rolling speed, rolling schedules(including the draft schedule and tension system) and other cold rolling unit parameters and production process parameters collected in a steel mills, the paper has built a set of power consumption model of per ton of steel for high-speed rolling in production process of cold rolling mill.Then, combined with the actual production, the paper took into account the maximum of rolling pressure、rolling power and emulsion flow of cold tandem mill, the prevention and control of slipping and hot sliding, the comprehensive cost of emulsion, and the benefits of production capacity. Afterwards, starting from the comprehensive optimization setting of rolling schedule、emulsion flow and rolling speed, the paper has built a set of comprehensive control technology of benefits of per ton of steel in high-speed cold rolling process.Finally, based on the comprehensive control technology of benefits of per ton of steel, the paper has respectively established the optimization model of rolling speed to control the benefit, the optimization model of emulsion flow to comprehensively control the cost and the optimization model of rolling schedule to comprehensively control the power consumption per ton of steel, and respective software. Those were promoted in production practical, effectively reduced the power consumption per ton of steel of the unit, and have created a larger benefits for the unit, with further popularization and application value.
