Rubber material belongs to poor conductor of heat, easy to accumulate heat and elevate temperature, which will seriously affect the performance and lifetime of itself.It is more and more important to study and improve the thermal properties of vulcanized rubber in dynamic conditions. In this paper truck tires and passenger car tire tread formula was chose to study the effect of ratio of Similar-Sericites/carbon black and Similar-Sericites/silica on vulcanized rubber heat generation and temperature rise under the condition of heat conduct and dynamic reciprocating compression. Combined with standard rubber test blocks which is under steady-state conditions in compression flexometer test of mathematical model. Using obtained relevant test parameters evaluate the center temperature and verify the reasonableness of the mathematical model in the view of experimental. The effects of fatty acid metal soap for rubber processing properties also studied in this paper.The results showed that the tensile strength was improved and the Shore A hardness remained the same when sericites partly replaced carbon black or silica into rubber. The tensile strength and tear strength of the composites decreased, and the abrasion increased with the increasing of sericites dosage. However, the composites could keep good physical and mechanical properties when the dosage of sericites was less than 20 phr. SEM results showed that sericites has a good compatibility and dispersion in rubber. The strain sweep results by RPA 2000 indicated that Payne effect and tanĪ“ were reduced, which testified that filler network effect and hysteresis loss were reduced due to the addition of sericites.DSC and nano-flash LFA447 results demonstrated that specific heat capacity decreased, thermal diffusion coefficient and heat conductivity coefficient increased. The main reason was that crystal structure of sericites was integrated and could produce thermal conductive network easily. The compression flexometer showed that heat buildup in center of rubber block decreased. This indicated sericites could reduce the heat generation and improve the thermal conductivity, thus the heat buildup of composites was induced. DMA results indicated that rolling resistance of lorry tyres and car tyres were induced, and wet skid resistance of car tyres was improved after the addition of sericites in rubber. In addition, the theoretical values which were obtained from heat buildup equation have been compared with experiment values. The result showed that the relative error was less than 10%, demonstrating the rationality of the heat buildup equation.Adding different metal fatty acid soaps prepared before to the formula of tread rubber of the tires used in the passenger vehicles. The results show that the Mooney viscosity of the rubber, the apparent shear viscosity, the shear stress and Payne effect are reduced significantly because of metal fatty acid soap, which can improve the liquidity of rubber by its function of internal lubrication. The addition of metal fatty acid soap can effectively improve the processing performance of the rubber and at the same time has no adverse effect on physical and mechanical properties, though the following several ways, such as, adsorbing to the surface of the filler, enhancing the filler dispersion, reducing network effect of the filler, inhabiting the aggregation of the filler and improving the stability of the rubber. Study shows that magnesium soap has the best effect.
