There is an increasing demand for natural and environmentally sustainable products. Paper chooses Ulva prolifera, Porphyra yezoensis, Porphyra haitanensis, and Sargassum horneri for the study. Active substances extracted from several algae were detected activity to develop it into a variety of cosmetics, such as facial mask, skin cream, which opened a new area of algae application.Four algae power and mud are rich in nutritional value having low fat and high protein. On the content of crude fat, crude protein and ash, mud in all algae were higher than powder. On the moisture content, power in there algae were higher than mud in addition to P. haitanensis. On the content of carbohydrate, power in all algae was higher than mud.According to single factor test, the solid-liquid ratio, extraction temperature and time were taken as independent variables, and extraction rate of polysaccharide as response value. Using response surface methodology, interactions of variables and their influence on polysaccharide yield of P. haitanensis were studied in the work. Then, the optimum parameters of extracting polysaccharide in P.haitanensis were obtained as follow: extraction temperature of 88.4℃, extraction time of 1.97 h and solid-liquid ratio of 1:40(g/ml). Under such condition, the polysaccharide yield of P. haitanensis was 15.19%.Four algae power and mud all have certain moisture retention and moisture absorption. The moisture retention of algae power and mud from U. prolifera were 89.91% and 94.75% after 30 min. The moisture retention of algae power and mud from P. yezoensis were 93.70% and 90.47% after 30 min. The moisture retention of algae power and mud from P. haitanensis were 91.72% and 92.39% after 30 min. The moisture retention of algae power and mud from S. horneri were 95.28% and 93.49% after 30 min. The moisture absorption of algae power and mud from U. prolifera in the humidity of 70% were 7.63% and 4.44% after 30 min. The moisture absorption of algae power and mud from P. yezoensis in the humidity of 65% were 3.58% and 1.61% after 30 min. The moisture absorption of algae power and mud from P. haitanensiin the humidity of 60% were 5.38% and 4.51% after 30 min. The moisture absorption of algae power and mud from S. horneri in the humidity of 52% were 3.26% and 2.95% after 30 min. The mask with algae power and mud as material had good effect of the skin. The moisture retention of algae power mask and mud mask from U. prolifera were 81.92% and 47.99% after 30 min. The moisture retention of algae power mask and mud mask from P. yezoensis were 36.88% and 34.02% after 30 min. The moisture retention of algae power mask and mud mask from P. haitanensiin were 52.68% and 44.56% after 30 min. The moisture retention of algae power mask and mud mask from S. horneri were 36.48% and 38.20% after 30 min. Skin moisture content increased after using the mask 20 min, and the skin moisturizing effect of four kind algae mask is superior to the contrast mask(green tea powder and lavender). The growth rate of skin moisture content after using mask from P. yezoensis has reached more than 60%. The growth rate of skin moisture content after using mud mask from P. haitanensiin has reached more than 40%. The growth rate of skin moisture content after using mud mask from U.prolifera has reached 34%. The growth rate of skin moisture content after using mud mask from S. horneri has reached 27%.Four polysaccharides all have good biological activity. The antioxidant activity of reducing power from high to low was S. horneri, U. prolifera, P. haitanensis, and P. yezoensis. The antioxidant activity of polysaccharides as determined by FRAP assay from high to low was S. horneri, U. prolifera and P. yezoensis. P. haitanensis also showed strong activity at lower concentration. The scavenging effects of polysaccharides on hydroxyl radical from high to low was S. horneri, P. yezoensis, P. haitanensis, and U. prolifera. The scavenging effects of polysaccharides on DPPH radical from high to low was S. horneri, U. prolifera, P. yezoensis, and P. haitanensis. The moisture retention of polysaccharides from high to low was S. horneri, U.prolifera, P. haitanensis, and P. yezoensis. Four polysaccharides all have good sunscreen effects. The cream with algae polysaccharides as material had good effect of the skin. The antioxidant activity of polysaccharides from U. prolifera was 40.22mM/g. The antioxidant activity of polysaccharides cream from P. yezoensis was 41.75mM/g. The antioxidant activity of polysaccharides cream from was 40.22mM/g. The antioxidant activity of polysaccharides cream from S. horneri was 36.11mM/g. The moisture retention of algae polysaccharides cream from these three algae was 72.99%ã€85.32% and 71.08%. The skin moisture content after using polysaccharides cream from U. prolifera has reached 25.78%. The skin moisture content after using polysaccharides cream from P. yezoensis has reached 59.82%. The skin moisture content after using polysaccharides cream from S.horneri has reached 51.83%. The skin collagen fibe content after using polysaccharides cream from U. prolifera has reached 56.50%. The skin collagen fibe content after using polysaccharides cream from P. yezoensis has reached 65.67%. The skin collagen fibe content after using polysaccharides cream from S. horneri has reached 44.67%. The skin elasticity after using polysaccharides cream from U. prolifera has reached 70.00%. The skin elasticity after using polysaccharides cream from P. yezoensis has reached 67.00%.The skin elasticity after using polysaccharides cream from S. horneri has reached 50.67%.Therefore, four algae are rich in nutritional value and have a variety of biological activity associated with cosmetics. The cream with algae polysaccharides as material had good effect of the skin. It follows that algae will have broad prospect of application in the field of cosmetics. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Ulva prolifera, Porphyra yezoensis, Porphyra haitanensis, Sargassum horneri, Activity, Cosmetic | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
