As a new 1-3 piezoelectric material, piezoelectric fiber composites(PFCs), compared with the conventional piezoelectric material, has many incomparable advantages, such as good plane strain, could be designed orthotropic, strong anti-destruction capability, good toughness, etc. So it has good application prospects. In this paper, the transverse free vibration of circular plate structure, which is common in engineering, under thermoelectric load was investigated. Details are as follows:On the basis of classical thin plate theory, constitutive theory for piezoelectric composites, and constitutive theory for orthotropic material, the transverse free vibration governing differential equations for heated piezoelectric fiber composite materials circular plate were derived. With the aid of shooting method, the relationship curves of the dimensionless natural frequencies of the heated piezoelectric fiber composite circular plate versus temperature rise and electric field strength change, with clamped and simply supported boundary conditions, were presented. And the influence of the volume fraction of piezoelectric fiber, stiffness parameters, electric field strength and temperature rise on the dimensionless natural frequencies of piezoelectric fiber composite materials circular plate were also discussed. The results show that the dimensionless natural frequency of the piezoelectric fiber composite material circular plate monotonically decreasing with the temperature rising. The dimensionless natural frequency decreases with decreasing the stiffness parameters, but increase with increasing the electric field strength for specified values of temperature. However, the electric field strength had little effect on the dimensionless natural frequency.
