The polymer was prepared through suspension polymerization method using styrene and methylacrolein as raw materials, PVP as dispersant, AIBN as initiator. The aminothiourea grafted polymer, preparation of polystyrene methyl acrylic aldehyde thiosemicarbazone solid phase extraction packing. The structure and elements were analyzed by infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and organic elemental analyzer. The solid phase extraction column was prepared by solid phase extraction packing. The solid phase extraction column was combined with AAS, conducting adsorption experiments for ten kinds of metal ions including Ag+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Cr3+ in the water. The adsorption properties of packing for Ag+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Cr3+ were investigated. The adsorption capacity of solid phase extraction packing were 12.21 mg/g, 11.42 mg/g, 7.20 mg/g, 12.42 mg/g, 10.07 mg/g, 9.28 mg/g, 11.78 mg/g, 7.34 mg/g, 9.64 mg/g, 10.42 mg/g respectively. Effects of eluent kind, column flow rate and pH value of the solution on the extraction recovery rate. when the flow rate through column was 0.5 mL/min, pH value was 5, eluent was 10 mL 5 mol/L HNO3 and 0.25 mL triethanolamine mixture, homemade small column recovery rate of Ag+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Cr3+ respectively were 98.94%, 97.80%, 92.17%, 99.80%, 96.36%, 94.59%, 98.24%, 93.23%, 95.35%, 96.98%. The penetration volume of colum was 120 mL by experiment. At 0.1 mg/L-20.0 mg/L range, absorbance and concentration of Ag+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Fe2+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Cr3+ had good linear relation. The correlation coefficient respectively were 0.9993, 0.9997, 0.9965, 0.9982, 0.9990, 0.9994, 0.9987, 0.9999, 0.9995 and 0.9987. The lowest detection limits were 1.080 μg/L, 3.341 μg/L, 2.543 μg/L, 1.152 μg/L, 3.052 μg/L, 3.235 μg/L, 4.256 μg/L, 2.481 μg/L, 2.324 μg/L and 3.168 μg/L, the relative standard deviation were 6.42%, 6.87%, 9.64%, 7.52%, 10.08%, 8.67%, 6.53%, 8.91%, 7.23% and 10.04%.
