The technology of in-wheel motor driving is a key component of electric vehicletechnologies, the vehicle has achieved many new functions where the orthodoxvehicle were unable to achieve by using the new technology of in-wheel motor driving.The research of design of the electric wheel drive system will has a great importanceby improving the performance of vehicles with electric motored wheels.The transmission mechanism of wheel-side is designed. According to the designrequirement, In limited space of wheel, a decelerating electric wheel device whichused for electric vehicles beneficially is designed. The design is aimed at the volumeof wheel-side decelerator. The weight and volume of decelerator is decreased, thematerials of electric is saved and the weight of electric wheel is reduced, which wouldmake sure the ride comfort of vehicle.The load balancing system and load sharing analysis of wheel reducer isdesigned. To improve the transmission advantages of strong bearing and highefficiency, load sharing structure design is brought in to the wheel reducer. The loadbalancing device is designed and strength of the component is also analysed by usingthe finite element method. In order to achieve the minimum volume, optimizationdesign is conducted for the floating sun gear of the load balancing device. Therefore,it can achieved the least weight and the floating become more and more sensitiveness.Dynamic analysis is studied in order to ensure the whole system runs more reliable.The relation between the axle length of floating sun gear and load coefficient ofuniformity is researched as well as the relation between the backlash variation of loadsharing coupling and floating effect, the structural dimension was reasonable.The finite elements analysis of wheel reducer base and gear is carried out. Inorder to ensure the wheel-side decelerator to meet the use requirements, the finitecontact elements analysis is studied for the gear strength of wheel reducer. At thesame time, to ensure the design strength and avoid the system resonance by using thestatic finite element analysis and model analysis.This article has used the virtual prototype technology to design、simulate andresearch the whole system, and the design process is updated timely, which wouldimprove the R&D efficiency and ensure the quality. The results and data shows thatit can provided a reference guide for the design of the same style electric wheel and contributed to design the electric wheel vehicle by ourselves.
