In recent years, city major hazard safety issues have become increasinglyprominent, the city health safety development posed a great threat, therefore, how tocarry out the city major hazard source location becomes the important content of themodern society. At present, most of our city exists significant dangerous source isthe major problem of layout unreasonable, protective measures, the lack of safety. Inthe process of city development for city major hazard location is more reasonable, inorder to better enhance the city public safety and security performance and avoid thepublic security system of the city construction investment in the economy, in orderto adhere to the "safety first, prevention first, comprehensive management" approach.At present the city major hazard sources in the traditional layout of the lack ofquantitative data to support, this article based on the quantitative area riskassessment, using GIS spatial analysis technology, the effect of significantdangerous source location in spatial information processing, the road map, land useplan, city infrastructure and city zoning map combination, in order to get suitablelocation of the feasible region. In order to explore a kind of new can make city majorhazard source location tends to optimize the planning ideas and methods.This article take the Hunan province Xiangtan City Xinzhao Mountaindemonstration zone as a case study, through the analysis of the regional major hazardsource demand characteristics, using GIS spatial analysis technology in the area ofmajor dangerous source location optimization, optimal city major hazard sourcelocation scheme, the last use of city regional risk assessment results evaluation.Finally, from the city planning point of view, put forward to improve the citymajor hazard source location in addition to facility location optimization should alsopay attention to city zoning, infrastructure current situation, a few problems of roadstructure. Therefore, for city major hazard sources on the site has a realisticsignificance, help to improve the city ’s overall level of safety.
