Supercapacitors have been recognized as promising energy storage devices and usedwidely for different fields. Carbon materials as one of Supercapacitors electrodes havemany advantages, such as non-pollution, low cost, abundance raw materials and goodelectrochemical performance.In this work, we used a new natural biomaterial Artemia Cyst Shells as precursor toprepare carbon materials through high temperature pyrolyzing in inert atmosphere. Thecarbon materials was prepared in different inert atmosphere,treated with HNO3,andactivated with KOH in high temperature, the aim of our work is to look for a carbonmaterial with good electrochemical performance. The physical properties of all sampleswere tested by X-ray diffraction (XRD), the surface area (BET), field emission scanningelectron microscope (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-rayphotoelectric spectroscopy (XPS).The electrochemical data obtained from cyclicvoltammetry method (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge testing.The hierarchical porous carbon matrials prepared in Ar, after cleaned with HNO3, thespecific area of which reach420.1m2g-1and the pore volume reach0.26cm3g-1. Theobtained carbon materials show good electrochemical performance, the best specificcapacitance can reach321,231and178F g-1in1M H2SO4,6M KOH and1M Na2SO4respectively and after10000cycles, about100%,100%,and97%of the capacity aremaintained respectively.When Mc:MKOH=1:2, the hierarchical porous activated carbon materials in both Arand N2show well electrochemical performance, In N2, the specific area of the obtainedactivated carbon reach1256m2g-1and the pore volume reach0.68cm3g-1.In Ar, thespecific area of the obtained activated carbon reach1758m2g-1and the pore volume reachup to0.76cm3g-1.The best electrochemical performance activated carbon obtained in Arand Mc:MKOH=1:2. The specific capacitance can reach369,349,238F g-1in1M H2SO4,6M KOH and1M Na2SO4respectively.The best activated carbon derived from Artemia Cyst Shells as negative electrode,and MnO2/GO as positive electrode to make an asymmetrical supercapacitor, which shows good best electrochemical performance. The potential of the capacitor can reach2V andthe highest energy density can reach46.47Wh kg-1at the power density of100W kg-1.After4000cycles, about93%of the capacity is maintained.
