In order to solve the challenges of climate changing, a variety of technologies onemission reduction were put forward. In those technologies, CCS (Carbon Capture andStorage) is one of the best. Countries around the world have been setting up demonstratedpower plants of CCS. Due to the high cost of investment and operation, the large-scaleapplication on CCS is hindered. So the optimization research on operation mode andoperation strategy of power plant on CCS is necessary. On the other hand, the use of cleanenergy is also one of the important means to reduce emissions. Putting CCS and cleanenergy together will bring more space and strategy of operation on power plant of CCS.The optimization of operation and the absorptive capacity were combined to analyzemore operation strategy on carbon capture plants with CCS technology. The main contentof this paper is as follows:First of all, the kinds and principle of operation on CCS are introduced, as well as thetreatment of CO2. Detailed presentation in flexible operation mode of carbon capturedevice is given, including diffluent flexible operation and stored flexible operation. Theflow charts of different modes of flexible operation are showed too.Secondly, on the basis of the mode of flexible operation, the concept of flexibility isdefined. The formula on flexible operation is improved according to the flexibility. Theflexibility is treated as the variable, while the reductions of CO2and coal consumption aretreated as objective functions. Then objective functions are optimized by usingMulti-objective BCC algorithm, during which the outputting optimization between theunits is finished. A signal carbon capture power plant with flexible operation is used as anexample to optimize and analyze the plant.Finally, mandatory emission reduction mechanism on carbon capture plants offlexible operation is formulated. Decomposition of CO2by dielectric barrier dischargemethod is used to deal the emission of CO2and abandon of wind power together. Theexperience curve is used to improve the dielectric barrier discharge model which isdivided into two steps according to its development. At the same time, combining the indirect absorption of wind power of flexibly operated carbon capture plants, two stages ofdirect and indirect absorption of wind power are analyzed dividedly. Based on the actualdata, this article conclusion is verified, so as to obtain the intervals of two stages ofabsorption of wind power on carbon capture plant.
