With the rapid development of national economy, our country emerged theconstruction of new high tide, such as highway network, highway network, high-speedrailway network, water conservancy and hydropower, port and real estate projects suchas the construction of. In the process of project construction, slope problems can be seeneverywhere, and every year in China,landslide caused enormous economic losses andcasualties. Due to rainfall and evaporation cycle, groundwater migration, reservoirwater level fluctuation makes many slope engineering in complex cyclic alternatingenvironment, and this environment is an important cause of many soil slope landslide.This paper combines the doctoral program of Higher Education (20110191120033)and the scientific research fund supported by the fundamental research funds for thecentral universities scientific research special natural science project (CDJZR12200012),through the indoor experiment, theory and numerical simulation methodbased on the mesoscopic mechanics point of view, the silty clay under the effect ofwetting drying cycles the strength deterioration, soil slope instability criterion, and theslope of granular flow strength reduction. The main research results are as follows:①Through laboratory tests on silty clay, the macro mechanical parameters ofpartial stress variation with axial strain, and silty clay strength parameters under dryingwetting cycles of C, variation.②Theoretical and experimental analysis and particle based flow, establishes thecorresponding relationship of silty clay macro mechanics parameters and microparameters, analyzed the change rule of silty clay strength and the variation rule ofmacro parameters.③Based on previous studies on the definition of safety factor method and theresearch of stability criterion, based on the theory of particle flow method, presents thecalculation method of meso mechanics of soil slope instability criterion and the safetyfactor of slope stability.④The silty clay slope engineering example is analyzed by the macro mechanicsparameters, calculate the meso mechanical parameters, the reduction coefficient methodto calculate the safety factor of slope by particle flow, and the analysis of slopeinstability process.
