Over the past century, almost all the electric equipment get electricity from thegrid by means of electrical contact. However, for mobile electrical equipment such asrail transit, lifting equipment, small household appliances, rotating mechanism, etc,this way would affect the mobility of devices. Yet for equipment in specialenvironment like mines, oil depot and coal etc., this way has also increased hiddendanger. In order to solve the flexibility and secure access problem of mobile electricalequipment (or equipment in special environment), the Wireless Power Transfer (WPT)arises at the historic moment.Inductively Coupled Power Transfer is relatively a major research area in WPTtechnical field at the moment. However, as electric field resembles magnetic field inmany features and both presenta dualityin basic theories, close attention has been paidto Electric-field Coupled Power Transfer(ECPT) technology by many research groupsat home and abroad in recent years. It provides a new approach for WPT, furtherexpands the research field of the WPT technology and promotes the theory andtechnology progress that are associated with the WPT technology.In this paper, circuit topology and tuning control of ECPT system were mainlyresearched. At first, the research status of the ECPT system at home and abroad isdiscussed. The basic working principle and characteristics of ECPT system are alsointroduced briefly. Based on the analysis of commonly used topological structures andtheir tuning control methods in ECPT system, aiming at themutual restriction betweenhigh frequency high voltage driving demand and primary-side high frequency powerconverting moduleswitch tubelow voltage demand, a ECPT system power transmittertopology with a high frequency transformer is proposed.This paper presents a high-frequency transformer model which is suitable forECPT system, based on which the scope of the high-frequency transformer voltagevariable ratio is determined.Pointing at the ECPT system power transmitter topologywith the high frequency transformer, major parameters determining methods affectingthe transmission power and efficiency are given. At the same time, the drive circuitsof main circuits are briefly discussed. The simulation platform is used to analyze theimplement system of soft switch, parameter sensitivityand the system transmissionpower size.Meanwhile, dynamic tuning system control goals and corresponding tuning control method are given. On the basis of the mathematical description oftuning control method, a tuning capacitance matrix is proposed.Finally,the whole system simulation model is built on the Matlab/simulinksimulation platform and simulation analysis is conducted. Results show that whenECPT system with the high-frequency transformer coupling capacitance value changeswithin a certain range,ECPT system can always work in the state of soft switch withthe dynamic tuning control,and the experimental verification is done...
