In recent years, the development trend of wind turbines is the wind turbine scale islarger and larger, and its tower is higher and higher. As the horizontal wind speedgradient and vertical wind speed gradient are existed in three-blade wind turbine, it willcause the wind speed uneven distribution on the rotor swept round surface, the velocityvector triangle of each blade will not equal; It also makes rotor suffered aerodynamiccenter location is changing during rotation, thus result in alternating load on wind rotor.Meanwhile as the magnitude and direction of wind speed is in time changing,turbulence、gust and so on will produce exciting force on rotor, these are the majorsource of wind turbine fatigue loads. Because of the higher and higher power of thewind turbine, and bigger and bigger the structure, the vibration problem of domesticwind turbine is more and more prominent. In the wind farm nearby, the residents havemore and more complaints and disclosure about the vibration noise annoyance whichproduced by wind turbine, which even threat to the normal domestic industrialization ofwind turbine. Therefore, this article make the corresponding research about fatigueloads which caused by uneven force in the three blade and vibration problem of windturbine.This paper main study a MW wind turbine, application a set of wind turbine designand load calculation in one of the FAST software which is developed by USARenewable Energy experimental, it can be used to model and simulation for windturbine, and use FAST software co-simulation with Matlab7.1/SIMULINK, applicationmodern control strategies in SIMULINK, Simulation result shows that the controlalgorithm which proposed by this paper is effective. The main contents of this paper arein the following chapters:Chapter1: Introduction. Major introduce the background of this paper, introduce thedomestic and foreign situation and development trend of wind turbine.Chapter2: Describe the basic theoretical knowledge of the FAST softwareapplication to the wind turbines: BEM theory、GDW theory、structural dynamics、FASTsoftware architecture.Chapter3: Describe the classical model of the whole wind turbine and wind speedmodel, using FAST software to model wind turbine, compare the simulation result withthe authority Bladed software simulation, verifying the feasibility of FAST software. Chapter4: Introduction the basic run regional and control system of the variablespeed and variable pitch wind turbine, analysis the wind turbine control strategy inbelow rated wind speed and above wind speed.Chapter5: Using modern control method to achieve variable speed and variablepitch control of wind turbine, the controller design of wind turbine is based on FASTand Matlab7.1/SIMULINK, building a model in SIMULINK, achieving independentpitch control of wind turbine, application independent pitch control strategy to reducefatigue load problem which is caused by three-blade uneven force. Simulation resultsshow that the control strategy is effectiveChapter6: The conclusion and forecast.
