As a new dam type, the dam body of cemented sand and gravel dam is betweenearth-rock dam and gravity dam. The quantities reduce significantly with the enhancingerosion resistibility compared to the rock-fill dam. Compared with the RCCD, decrease ofthe dosage of cement obviously brings about the cost-saving, as well as the requirements ofaggregate, mixture ratio, temperature control and foundation greatly reduced.In this thesis, based on design feature of the material of cemented sand and graveldam,studying the constitutive relation of the material of cemented sand and gravel basedon the Mohr-coulomb criterion, the method of programming solver is used to calculatestrength parameters of triaxial test cemented sand and gravel material. The finite elementsoftware ADINA is used to process two-dimensional and three-dimensional computationalanalysis for cemented sand and gravel dam, mainly including static, dynamic and the stresscalculation of considering seepage effect, etc. Using geotechnical software geo-studio toprocess seepage calculation analysis for the different seepage control measures. Thestandard of stress level is used to evaluate shear capacity of cemented sand and gravel damand point safety factor method is used to calculate the foundation stability against slidingsurface, evaluation of the stability based on the reliability theory for cemented sand andgravel dam. Mainly finished the following work:(1) The main mechanics index is obtained by analyzing uniaxial test results ofcemented sand and gravel material of Three Gorges University. Constitutive relation ofcemented sand and gravel material are deduced combining with the triaxial test results.(2) Good mechanical properties of materials in the tests are selected as dammingmaterial for structural design. Connecting with equal elevation gravity dam, stressdistribution is contrasted and analyzed under different water loads of the two type dam.Shear and stability against sliding of cemented sand and gravel dam and gravity dam areanalyzed under different water loads and equal elevation, adopting stress level, point safetyfactor method, the reliability theory. Two kinds of working conditions, withoutimpoundment and full reservoir, are used to study adaptability of cemented sand and graveldam on different foundation elastic modulus in the layered foundation.(3)Reinforced concrete face-plate, composite geomembrane and high strengthcemented sand and gravel are used to control the seepage. Contrasting the seepage-controleffectiveness, the stress levels of cemented sand and gravel dams adopting different seepage-control materials are analyzed based on the stress calculation results ofconsidering seepage effect.(4)Stress-strain and stress level of cemented sand and gravel dam are studying underdifferent design of slope than and studying the dam body of cemented sand and gravel dam.Combining with Shoukoubao engineering, seepage, stress-strain, overload damage etc, areanalyzed by three-dimensional modeling calculation.
