Wind energy is a renewable energy, it is cleaner and more environmentally friendly thantraditional energy sources. The wind generator is the world’s most widely used wind energygeneration mean. In this paper, the use of fluid dynamics analysis of the loads on a wind turbine bladeis comprehensively described.Firstly, starting with introduce the background of wind turbine research at home and abroad.Numerical simulation methods are used to calculate the airfoil aerodynamic characteristics in thispaper. The computational model is determined after the analysis of two-dimensional calculations.Secondly, the aerodynamic characteristics of the three-dimensional wind turbine model whichhas been designed were calculated by the numerical simulation methods so that we can analysis theeffect of different computational model and different computational grid to the calculations. Analysisthe load distribution pattern of the blades in the different installation angles after that we can get theblades paragraphs torque distribution curve through theoretical calculations and numerical simulationmethods.Thirdly, the torque to the1/4axis of the blade which was generated by the blades rotatingcentrifugal can be calculated by the theoretical analysis. Then we can definite the total data of thetorque to the1/4axis of the blade by the comparison of centrifugal force torque and pneumatic torque.Fourth, the ice shape of the wind generator airfoil under the given conditions can be calculatedby the numerical simulation method. Then we could analysis the aerodynamic characteristics changeof the wind generator airfoil after icing. Furthermore we can analysis the effect of the ice to the windturbine efficiency though the comparison of the clean blades loading characteristics and after freezing.Fifth, we use active control method to control the type of ice on the airfoil, and we analysis theeffect of several control methods after comparing the type of ice under the control.Finally, summarized the work, pointed out the pros and cons of this paper, and propose theresearch directions for future work.
