Now most of the generation systems are the multiple-input-source systems with energy storagedevices such as wind power generation systems, hybrid electric vehicle generation systems anddistributed generation systems. Because of the large number of the full controlled devices, the systemstructure is complex. And the multi-suorce energy controll is difficult. This dissertation applys theopen-winding machine configuration to the multi-source isolated generation system to reduce thenumber of the full controlled devices in the main circuit.This thesis establishes the flux-weakening mathematical model of the open-winding PM machineisolated generation system. Flux-switching permanent magnet (FSPM) machines are more suitablefor flux-weakening operation. Hence, the flux-weakening propeties of six open-winding FSPMmachine isolated generation systems are compared.Taking advangtage of the high flux adjustment capability of a parallel hybrid excited flux-switching(PHEFS) machine, a new battery current regulation algorithm is developed based on anopen-winding PHEFS machine isolated generation system. It overcomes the regulation difficulty ofthe battery current in the open-winding PM generator system. This function creats conditions forachieving the coordinated control of the generator power and the battery power, which makes itpossible that the open-winding congfiguration is applied in the HEVgeneration system.In order to optimize the battery voltage value, this paper proposes a minmum battery voltageevaluation model. It provides theoretical basis for reasonably reducing the switch tube pressure valueand the amount of batteries. Additionally, a novel winding structure is presented to make the PHEFSmachine more suitable for the open-winding machine isolated generation system, which provides asimple and feasible idea for the generator topology optimization.The simulation results show that the flux-weakening mathematical model is correct. And it isverified that the battery current regulation algorithm and the minmum battery voltage evaluationmodel are effective by the simulation and experiment results.
