Impact toughnesscommonly used to evaluate the fatigue performance of asphalt mixture at present, but whetherthe method can apply to MA class asphalt mixture or not is still unknown. Repeated effect ofasphalt pavement under vehicle load, short action time and great effort, in line with thecharacteristics of impact load, and the concept of impact toughness is an energy, notinfluenced by load model, so the impact toughness evaluation MA class the ability to resistfatigue cracking of asphalt pavement is feasible in theory.This paper is based on the hongkong-zhuhai-macao bridge deck pavement study phase, sothe test and research of aggregate and asphalt mostly from related companies, grew up usingA-70asphalt materials, Trinidad lake asphalt (TLA), and grew up aggregate and mineralpowder, etc. Test specimens taken from the test sections, respectively, forming in thelaboratory with double-sided cutting machine fatigue experiment was performed and impacttoughness was performed at four o ’clock. Using fatigue testing machine for fatigue test at4o’clock, Cooper in five strain water (300με,600με,700με,800με,900με), the data of thefatigue test results, and analysis it is concluded that the MA/GMA (Guss MasticAsphalt)under the two different processes of MA class mixture fatigue life predictionequation.Based on the MTS testing machine for MA kind of asphalt mixture was performed onimpact toughness test specimens, calculated its impact toughness values, the results showedthat the MA class construction technology for asphalt mixture (MA and GMA) is different, itsimpact toughness values also comparatively large difference, namely the fatigue performanceof mixture is not the same; Mixing time is MA kind of asphalt mixture, the important factorsthat impact toughness temperature also affect the impact toughness, but its influence is lessthan the mixing time; Under the same process, mixture ratio is different, have differentmixture impact toughness values.This article verifies the MA specimen impact toughness and fatigue test, the fatigue life at four o ’clock, the correlation of total dissipation can, and established the mathematicalrelationship between them. Relevant conclusions, specific as follows:1) the two differentprocesses of MA class of proportion of asphalt mixture with different correlation analysis,impact toughness and fatigue life of both linear correlation, the correlation is good, in theprocess of engineering can be used to estimate the fatigue life of impact toughness test.Agingdegree, both linear relationship is still good.2) two different processes of MA class the impacttoughness of asphalt mixture with different mixing ratio and accumulating dissipation canmake correlation analysis, linear correlation between them, and the correlation is good, can beused in the engineering process to estimate the cumulative dissipation can impact toughnesstest.Aging degree, both linear relationship is still good.3) impact toughness and fatigue life ofasphalt mixture and cumulative dissipation are linearly related, and the correlation are better,but has its don’t: in the same aging degree, change the mixture ratio, cumulative dissipation issuperior to the fatigue life;At different levels in the same mixture ratio, aging time, thecorrelation between the fatigue life is better than the cumulative dissipated energy.This article verifies the MA specimen impact toughness and fatigue test, the fatigue lifeat four o ’clock, the correlation of total dissipation can, and established the mathematicalrelationship between them.
