With the rapid growth of the installed capacity of wind power, the influence oflarge-scale of wind farms on the grid is becoming more and more serious. The max capacityof the wind power is restricted by the currently power and grid structure, the improvementof the power structure is helpful for the wind power consumptive. Hainan province,which isfacing the enormous pressure for energy conservation and environment protection, has thelarge potential of developing offshore wind farms. So the research on the max wind powercapacity and the power plan for increasing the wind power accommodated capacity is of greatpractical value. the works in the dissertations are as follows:1.Based on the velocity data of the Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP), the windsource of the planned offshore wind farm is assessed. and the output characteristics of theplanning offshore wind farms is analyzed through running simulation of the output of windfarms, especially the power distribution characteristics and fluctuation characteristics.2Through the analysis of the control technology of PMSG,the paper established a modelof PMSG system expressed in the reference frame rotating in synchronous speed. The modelbasing on the power system simulation software EMTDC/PSCAD is established. Theninfluence of the grid connected PMSG wind farms on the static and transient Voltage Stabilityof Hainan power system is studied.3.This paper analyzed the influence on the frequency stability of the grid of the gridconnected PMSG wind farms. The lack of the inertia and the ability of the providingfrequency response is considered. The dynamic frequency response and spinning reserveneeds is studied.4.On the requirement of the power development of the Hainan Province, the route of thefuture power development of Hainan Province is given and the target of the future powerdevelopment is set. then this paper studied the optimal capacity of PS system with thesequential Monte Carlo. then at last the combing development plan of PS and wind farm until2020has been given on the power plan and the wind farm plan of the Hainan province,This paper focus on the two key issues: the influence of the integration of the large-scalewind farms and the rational capacity of the regulated power of the grid with large scale windfarms. Some Preliminary results has been obtained.
