In order to prevent and mitigate early damage of asphalt pavement, adapting toheavy traffic and harsh climatic conditions, the development of new roads modifiers forasphalt materials in-depth reform has important practical significance. The predecessorof waste oil is natural oil, it is a renewable resource, with large low cost, high flash pointand low viscosity, while waste oil can be cured of harmful substances with bitumen.Based on the above two points, waste oil and polymer were made use of modifingbitumen compound in this paper, it provides a new idea for the rationally using waste oiland developing high-performance and environmentally friendly modified asphalt.In order to develop a high performance and environmentally friendly compositemodified asphalt, this paper used orthogonal experimental design method to analyse theinfluences of the basic asphalt, modifier, stabilizer, compatilizer and the modifiedtechnology on the asphalt performances of the waste oil/polymer composite modifiedasphalt. Meanwhile, it also proposed an optimum modified formula.Selecting the5%waste oil+3.5%SBS+3%PE compound modified asphalt、5.5%SBS+5%PE compoundmodified asphalt、common SBS modified asphalt and SK90#basic asphalt as a contrastgroup,adopting TFOT and PAV to study the aging property of the five asphalt. The resultindicates that the self-developed waste oil/polymer composite modified asphalt stillmaintains good overall performance after PAV, so it has good anti-aging performance.Adopting DSR and BBR to study the rheological performance of self-developed wasteoil/polymer composite modified asphalt and other four asphalt in the high, middle andlow temperature,the result indicates that self-developed waste oil/polymer compositemodified asphalt has better stability performance in the hot circumstance, betteranti-cracking performance in the cold circumstance and better anti-aging performance inthe room temperature. Using segregation test, dynamic shear rheometer to study thestorage stability of self-developed waste oil/polymer composite modified asphalt, theresult indicates that softening point difference and the segregation rate can meet thedemand of the specification;Furthermore, the results of the stability test during thetransportation and storage showed that it had the better performance of heat stability.In the paper,it used waste oil for road asphalt composite modified first time andprovided a new way for recycling waste oil;and it made use of multiple compositemodification technology to develop both high and low temperature performance composite modified asphalt, breaked through single modification technology fromconventional ideas.
