Steel-concrete composite beam is a new type composite structure based on the basic ofthe reinforced concrete structure and steel structure. Because of making full use of steel’stensile property and concrete’s compressive property and having the advantage of light weight, high bearing capacity, high rigidity, fast construction, the steel-concrete composite beam iswidely used in the construction of bridge engineering. Though many scholars have done manyresearch works on the steel-concrete composite beam, the precast steel-concrete compositebeam with bolt connection is still in research stage. Especially, the whole mechanicalproperties and failure mode of the precast steel-concrete composite beam with bolt connectionis in urgent need of corresponding research.Considering about material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity, contact nonlinearity, bolts’ shear-slip nonlinearity, the ABAQUS finite element program has been used to do thenumerical analysis of the steel-concrete composite beam. By comparing theload-displacement curve, distribution laws of strain, distribution laws of relative slip on theinterface of steel-concrete composite beams with300mm,600mm,900mm,1200mm boltspacing, the mechanical properties and failure models of steel-concrete composite beams havebeen studied. This article’s numerical analysis shows that under the min-span concentrated load, thefailure model of steel-concrete composite beam with300mm bolt spacing is material failure, the failure models of steel-concrete composite beams with600mm,900mm,1200mm boltspacing are shear failure. Under the double load, when the shear span ratio of double load is6,the failure model of steel-concrete composite beam with300mm bolt spacing failure ismaterial failure, when the shear span ratio of double load is2or4,the failure models ofsteel-concrete composite beam with300mm bolts spacing failure are shear failure. Under thedouble load whose shear span ratio is2,4or6, the failure models of steel-concrete compositebeams with600mm,900mm,1200mm bolt spacing are shear failure. All in all, the failures ofthe4kinds of bolt spacing steel-concrete composite beams at different load models arepremonitory ductility damage.
