Recently, with the increase of bridge engineering construction size, the temperaturecontrol technology of large volume concrete of piles caps attracted much attention. For the thecement hydration heat effect during concrete curing, the wholly pouring large volumeconcrete which subjected to internal or outside constraint will produce large temperaturechange and temperature stress. And it will cause concrete cracking if the stress surpass thetensile strength of concrete, affecting pile caps’ normal use. Therefore, in order to avoid thecracking, it is necessary to research large volume concrete temperature field and temperaturestress field to grasp their change rules.The paper relied on Langqi minjiang River Bridge in Fujian Province, through choosethe concrete mix proportion, layout the cooling water, numerical simulation analysis pipetemperature and monitor the temperature of the construction process, large volume concretetemperature control technologies of the pile cap were systematically studied. Researchcontents of this paper are as follows:(1) Based on the research findings at home and abroad, the causes of large volumeconcrete cracking and its temperature control measure were comprehensive descripted in thepaper. Combined with Langqi minjiang River Bridge in Fujian Province, the technicalstandards, the construction plan and the technological process of4#,5#pier caps wereinterpreted. The theoretical basis of hydration heat finite element analysis was introduced inthe paper.(2) Relying on the engineering practice of4#,5#pier caps of Langqi minjiang RiverBridge in Fujian Province, with comprehensive considerating the actual of cooling water pipelayout, water flow condition, boundary condition, actual construction progress (includingconcrete casting thickness, pouring temperature, intermittent time between different pouring),the hydration heat temperature field during construction process were simulation analyzed.And based on the results, the feasible optimization scheme was choosed.(3) Through monitoring the temperature of4#,5#pier caps of Langqi minjiang RiverBridge in Fujian Province, the information construction of large volume concrete temperaturewas put forward, which providing a scientific basis for concrete heat preservation. Comparedthe results with numerical simulation results, it showed mutual authentic ation, and the rulesof temperature change were founded, which provided a theoretical basis for temperaturecracking control, having an important engineering application value.
