Recently, much attention has been paid to the issue of environmental pollution andenergy crisis, therefore, electric vehicle presents the accelerating trend. The four-wheelindependent drive motors electric vehicle based on wheel hub motor is highly anticipated withits huge advantage, however, because of the presence of security and other issues,it has notyet been universal. Its power source and the main structure have a greater difference with thetraditional internal combustion engine vehicle, therefore, some of the well development andwidely used technologies in the traditional internal combustion engine vehicle, such as ASR,can not be directly applied to such electric vehicle. ASR is one of key automotive activesafety technology, in order to improve the safety of the four-wheel independent drive motorselectric vehicle based on wheel hub motor, the paper do the following research:Firstly, the study on the mechanism of wheel slip. Determine the main factorsinfluencing the wheel slip and the relationship between various factors, analyze the existingASR strategy, and develop a control strategy based on the road recognition according to thecharacteristics of the wheel hub motor.Secondly, on the basis of the theory of vehicle dynamics and the control strategy,establish ASR system simulation model in Matlab/Simulink. The model includes vehicledynamics model which is based on vehicle dynamics, road recognition model which has fuzzycontrol as the core, and slip rate control model which synthesizes PID control and fuzzycontrol.Thirdly, refer the parameters of electric vehicle designed with independent research,select a reasonable simulation parameters, combined with the different workingcondition,carry out the simulation experiment.Finally, according to the characteristics of the electric vehicle based on wheel hub motorand the requirements of ASR, develop ASR trial platform and test it. The platform includesbench system, front-end signal acquisition system and background control system which usesLabVIEW as the software development environment.The simulation experiment and test results of platform show: the road recognition modelcan accurately identify the current pavement and the ASR model can achieve good controleffect; trial platform is able to simulate the relationship between vehicle and ground, and canreal-time monitor the change of each parameter. The proposed control strategy and thedesigned trial platform provide theoretical basis and laid a good physical basis for the drive torque test, possess higher reference value.
