With energy saving and environmental problems have become more prominent, andhybrid energy electric vehicles as a transitional models of traditional automobile to thedevelopment of pure electric vehicles, it has greatly relieve the energy crisis, the performanceof power battery is the core of its development. In this paper, the classification of hybridelectric vehicle and key technology are introduced, the battery driven system mainlycomposed by the battery system, auxiliary power system and control system. In order toensure the safe and efficient operation of the battery driven system, it need to join thebidirectional DC/DC converter between the battery and motor system. The electric vehicle with bidirectional DC/DC converter is designed and studied in thispaper, and choice of half bridge converter topology as the design of converter. According tothe design requirements, parameters of half bridge DC/DC converter is determined, with theuse of simulation software MATLAB/Simulink, the simulation model of bidirectional DC/DCconverter is established, through the digital control to implement the control of DC/DCconverter. Analysis of the positive, reverse waveform, simulation results show that thebidirectional DC/DC converter positive working voltage can be battery in the load within acertain range of stability at a relatively high voltage, which can improve the drivingperformance of motor; reverse operation, bidirectional DC/DC converter and the motor brakeby converting mechanical energy to electric energy feedback to the battery, the battery ischarged in a controlled manner. Through the calculation of loss and efficiency, to verify thebidirectional DC/DC converter control can be implemented into the output voltage and energyrecovery. Finally the paper discusses the implementation of bi-directional DC/DC converterin the actual system.
