At present, foundation pit engineering is one of the difficult and hot issue in the field of geotechnical.Not only the domestic but also the foreign experts and scholars have done a lot of research work, hasmade some significant results. In this paper, based on actual engineering project, through to thesupporting structure calculation theory and finite element theory, the conclusion reached the generaltheory and calculation method of foundation pit excavation problem. Then using MIDAS/GTS finiteelement software to analyze the excavation of foundation pit step-by-step in the numerical simulation,and analyze the deformation and stress of the foundation pit and the supporting structure in theexcavation process.In this paper, the main works are as follows:1. There are comprehensive and systematic analysis and research for calculation theory of pilesupporting. Have reached summary for the calculation theory of the earth pressure, the calculationmethod and the failure or deformation induction of the supporting structure.2. Based on JinJia underpass bridge in south2nd ring project of Chifeng in inner Mongolia, usingMIDAS/GTS establish the finite element model to simulate the progress of the foundation pit excavation,then carry out the simulation analysis on the pit loading process. The finite element model consider thecombination of the piles, supporting and soil. Comparing the calculated results with the specification,confirm the reasonable structural parameters of the pile supporting structure.3. According to the calculation result of the numerical software, we study some parameters of theearth constitutive relation and supporting structure how to influence the result of the calculation, forreasonable selection in the high foundation supporting design of model parameters to provide thenecessary reference basis.4. At last, according to the above theory and the actual engineering calculation, put forward somecorresponding conclusions and recommendations, provide theoretical basis and calculation basis forapplication and popularization of actual engineering foundation pit calculation and safety of structuredesign.
