Pipe jacking method is a kind of Trenchless Technology in underground engineering. It iswidely used in the construction of urban sewage pipeline. Pipe jacking method shows its greatsuperiority in the area of railway, high-rise buildings, and subway lines. However, it willcause effect to the subgrade structure of city road, and a series of problems, such as roadsubsidence, surface and underground cavities, fracture will also appear. Based on Xi ’anFengchanlu sewage pipeline engineering, the soil deformation law caused by pipe jackingconstruction is researched,.and the results show that:1. The pipe jacking construction was simulated by using ANSYS, and the deformationlaw of soil caused by the jacking force and ground loss was researched.2. The compactness of subgrade was detected by using ground penetrating radar, theresults show that there are many imperfect or empty area around the pipeline. The reason ofimperfect and empty was analyzed, and the grouting strengthening measures was taken toreinforce the formation. The grouting effect was retested after reinforcement.3. The deformation of soil before and after grouting reinforcement were analyzed byusing ANSYS. The result shows that grouting reinforcement has obvious compaction andfilling effect to the non-dense region around the pipe, and the compaction range is about3times diameter of the pipe.4. The stress of the soil before and after grouting reinforcement were analyzed, theresults show that grouting reinforcement can significantly improve soil stress distribution, andthe strata are more stable after reinforcement.
