China is a country full of earthquake. There have been several strong earthquakes inChina during the past ten years, resulting in a serious loss of life and property. The violentdamages not only expose the anti-seismic design of buildings have some shortcomings, butaffirm the great progress in structural anti-seismic field since the Tangshan earthquake. The reinforced concrete frame structures of constructions built in different periodshave much difference in China. For example, constructors should have not considered theanti-seismic effects of frame structure built in1970’s or before1970’s. The frame structureis designed mostly according to the norm of anti-seismic design edited in1987, which weremore concerned about the anti-seismic fortification and adopted some anti-seismicconstruction measures. Most of frame structures built in the1990’s are designed accordingto the code of anti-seismic design edited in1989, of which the anti-seismic fortificationswere enhanced, and the anti-seismic structural measures were relatively perfected. Thebuildings are mainly anti-seismic design according to the new standard in21st century. Theanti-seismic fortification and anti-seismic structural measures are improved perfectly andreasonably. As an important the vertical bearing members of the framework, the reinforcedconcrete frame columns are easily broken after suffering a highintensity earthquake. Considering the earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, ifthe reinforced concrete frame columns have serious damages and are difficult to be repaired, even if the building doesn’t collapse, it also need be rebuilt. Thus it is necessary for usto study the anti-seismic index of reinforced concrete frame columns, which is ensured tohave sufficient anti-seismic carrying capacity and good ductility, and avoids the occurrenceof failure under seismic forces. So we would draw a load-displacement skeleton curve design through the comparisonof the different construct measures in different anti-seismic design norms, and the finiteelement simulations of six rebar concrete frame columns constructed under differentconditions by ABAQUS. We will study and analyze the anti-seismic index of reinforced concrete frame columns under the earthquake force by the skeleton curve. The maincontents followed:(1)Comparing the different anti-seismic structural measures of reinforced concreteframe column in《code for anti-seismic design of industrial and civil architecture》TJ11-78,《code for anti-seismic design of buildings》GBJ11-89and the new promulgation ofnational《code for anti-seismic design of buildings》GB50011-2010, we will summarize theanti-seismic features of each specification.(2)According to the data of reinforced concrete columns under low cyclic repeatedload from the anti-seismic performance of reinforced concrete column test database, weprepare six reinforced concrete frame pillars made under different tectonic conditions forABAQUS finite element simulation.(3)Discuss the axial compression ratio, longitudinal and reinforcement ratio andthe stirrup reinforcement ratio influence on the anti-seismic performance of reinforcedconcrete frame columns.(4)Studying the influence of old and new standards on anti-seismic design ofreinforced concrete frame column, we find it is necessary to grasp the revise essence of thenew specifications, and discover and solve problems in time.
