Consolidation of composite foundation theory is an important part of the theory ofcomposite foundation. For consolidation of composite ground with impervious columns,the theoretical researches and laboratory experiments have been achieved considerablesuccesses.However, many problems such as the consolidation of a composite groundreinforced by partially penetrated impervious columns are remained to besolved. Based on the research work available on the consolidation of a compositeground with impervious columns and a double-layered compressible foundation,theanalytical consolidation theory and behavior of composite ground reinforced bypartially penetrated impervious columns are studied in this thesis.The main work is fitsfollows:1. Consolidation characteristics of composite foundation with undrained suspendedpile were simulated and analyzed by Plaxis finite element analysis software, laid thefoundation for the establishment of the analytical solution for consolidation ofcomposite ground.2.Based on the axisymmetric consolidation model, the governing equations for theaverage excess pore water pressures are derived within the surrounding soil and theunderlying unreinforced soil. Then, the corresponding solutions are developed on thebasis of the consolidation theory of a double-layer ground.The overall average degreeof consolidation of the composite ground is obtained. Finally, the consolidationbehavior of the composite ground is investigated. Analytical solution based on thedegree of consolidation proposed, analyzed the relative depth of reinforcement, thereplacement rate, and modulus ratio between the soil and the pile on the rate ofconsolidation of composite ground.3. On the basis of the above study, establish the undrained suspended pilecomposite foundation reinforced area and substratum hole analytical solution ofconsolidation pressure, and the factors, such as the replacement ratio and modulus ratioof pile and soil,affecting the effects of consolidation properties of suspended pilecomposite foundation and makes a comparative analysis on the regularity in summary.
