With the rapid development of power electronic technology、modern control theoryand the high performance digital control technology,power electronic control systemhas become more complex. At the same time, the users expect the power electronicequipment could be intelligent. For the most popular multi-level STATCOM system inindustrial areas, the method of adopting embedded real-time operating systemtechnology to develop D-STATCOM software system is present in this thesis.Furthermore, the main work focuses on how to resolve the coupling problem of threekinds of software which contains the variety of either strong real-time or highperformance algorithm software, ubiquitous demanding protection software and a hugecumbersome function software,reasonably and orderly.Firstly, cascade H-bridge D-STATCOM mathematical model is deduced in thispaper. Further study of the basic power decoupling control strategy and the capacitorvoltage balance control problems are researched. And the method of using digitalcontrol technology to achieve natural sampling sole polar octave CPS-SPWMmodulation are mainly focused.The MATLAB simulation tools prove the above work.All suchwork builds up a good foundation of all the outcome of this thesis.As the software and hardware parts of the embedded system are closely linked, acouple set of D-STATCOM hardware control platforms are developed before thestarting of the research of RTOS. Through the research of the basic principles of thisembedded real-time operating system and key technology, the essence of the embeddedreal-time multi-tasking operating system as well as advantages in the application onmedium-sized software system is concluded. And the technique of migrating Raw-OSsystem to TMS320F28335processor is firstly presented. After dividing D-STATCOMsystem functions rationally, the overall design of D-STATCOM software systems arecompleted based on Raw-OS.Relying on the main circuit of experiment apparatus, the maximum power of it is15KW,and the reactive power compensation experiment of D-STATCOM system isfinished.The experimental results proved correctness of D-STATCOM software basedon Raw-OS.All the work finished in this dissertation proved when the method ofadopting RTOS to develope power electronic systems are easible and reasonable.
