Data management is one of the essential techniques of product design,maintenance and support in the whole life cycle. As many experts in the multipledisciplines are involved in the solar equipment design process, the data is complexand various.. Without an effective product data management and query mechanism, itwill seriously affect the efficiency and quality of collaborative design. We analyzedthe characteristic of the data during the collaborative design process, and study therelationship between the data to realize the sharing of the data. The main contents ofthis paper are as follows:Firstly, we analyzed that the data generated in the collaborative process of solarequipment has the inherent properties of complex and diverse which require highconsistency in the data management process. A data management model based ontop-level design target, product positioning of three-dimensional space andmanagement object layer is proposed. This model defines design data attributes,physical objects, object-design relation, service, and so on, which can achieve theexpression and management of data information during the collaborative design ofSolar cell equipment.Secondly, based on the data management model of Solar cell equipment, westudied the data association of multidisciplinary collaborative design. Making full useof the collaborative design data, we put forward the similarity algorithm of multi-disciplinary design knowledge and constraint matching algorithm based on the designfunction, design disciplines and key attribute values. According to the similarity ofparts design date, we can quickly find the relevant product data and improve theefficiency of collaborative design. As a result, it indirectly increases the competitionrate of solar cell equipment industry.Finally, based on above research, the Microsoft MOSS2007solution for datamanagement is applied in Solar cell equipment collaborative design. We realized the system development according to the theoretical study, and. By the confirmatoryapplication in the project, to a certain extent, the research is valuable.
