The sparkle in electrical phase change has been solved effectively with brushless DCmotor (BLDC) without brush and commutator, and the application field of BLDC hasbeen wider and wider owing to its sensorless control which overcame the issue ofposition sensor. Therefore, the sensorless control has become a new hot spot in theresearch area of BLDC. The sensorless control of BLDC and accurate rotor positiondetection technology have been analyzed in this paper, the main research contents areas follows:Firstly, according to the special requirement of accurate position control field, amathematical model of the BLDC has been analyzed while the working principle ofBLDC has been studied in this paper. A calibration algorithm and a method of rotorposition detection based on the PWM from motor’s inverter side have been proposed.The principle of accurate rotor position accurate detection and the calibrationalgorithm have been explained in detail. It is proved that the algorithm couldimplement the sensorless control as well as accurate rotor position accurate detectionin theory.Moreover, a BLDC sensorless control simulation system based on MATLAB-Simulink has been put up. The results of the simulation verified the reliability andutility of the detection method which could detect the rotor position accurately.Finally, the BLDC sensorless control system based on TMS320F2812has beendesigned and the feasibility of motor rotor detection has been proved by experiment.The results of experiment showed that the BLDC sensorless control system whichwas guided by the accurate rotor position detection method has a high precision inmotor control.
