The reliability, stability and reliability of electronic transverse system plays adecisive role on warp knitting machine’s product quality and effiiency. The currentlyavailable warp knitting machines equipped with electronic transverse system cannotmeet people’s requirements on engine speed and control performance, and there’s nofault tolerant strategy research to improve the system reliability. Therefore, studyingon mathematic model and improving the electronic transverse system’s controlstrategy has an important significance to the development of warp knitting industry.This thesis focuses on studying electronic transverse machine driven by ServoSystem, the main research contents are as follows:1. Slip the electronic transverse system into three parts as servo systems,mechanical transmission mechanism and guide bars. Built mathematical models ofeach part based on the working mechanism and motion characteristics, and thenestablished a mathematical model of warp knitting machine traversing electronicsystem by an analysis of input-output relationship.2. Take control of the guide bar’s location through applying model referenceadaptive method of Adaptive Control Theory for improving the control precision ofthe system. Then controller and adaptive parameter approaching law for the systemhave been designed based on adaptive backstepping method to make sure the systemcould achieve accurate tracking of the reference signal with uncertain inputs.3. Take a consideration of the system’s nonlinear characteristics and uncertainparameters at high speed running condition to establish the system’s nonlineardynamic model. Exploit the backstepping method to design a controller and useadaptive method to approach the uncertain parameters to improve the system’scontrol precision and dynamic performance. Simulation results have shown theproposed method’s effectiveness 4. Take a consideration of using multiphase motor as drive to the electric transversesystem. Analyzed the motor phase failure fault and designed fault tolerant controlscheme. Simulation results have shown that the motor torque ripple has beensignificantly reduced by using fault-tolerant control, the torque performance has beenimproved.
