Satellite formation has attracted more and more attentions. Compared with a singlesatellite, satellite formation can not only finish complex tasks, but also have manyadvantages such as low costs, easy maintenance, and reduced power consumption. Inrecent years, with the development of multi-agent control technology, the distributedconsensus control algorithm has great application prospects in the control of satelliteformation. However, due to the mathematical model of satellite formation withnonlinear dynamics, and the presence of uncertainties and constraints, there are somedifficulties in the research of satelite formation. This paper proposes a coordinatedcontrol algorithm in the satelite formation which can reduce the amount of calculationand achieve formation keeping.First, the paper introduces the related theory. We introduces a mathematical modelof satellite formation, the graph theory and common used consensus algorithm. Whenthe reference star is located in the circular orbit, we design several common flyingformations.Second, in order to achieve the satellite formation keeping, we design twocentralized controllers: linear quadratic optimal controller and Lyapunov-potential-function-based controller.Further more, based on the consensus of the theory, the paper uses a distributedcontrol architecture, designing three formations coordinated control algorithm. Thepaper proposes a full state feedback controller with coordinated formation coherenceconditions, which can keep formation in the process of satelite formation keeping. Onthis basis, the paper presents a coordinated formation controler without speed feedback.And in order to reduce the amount of computation, the paper proposes a leader-following control algorithm which can finish the satellite formation keeping andreconstruction. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and efficiency of theproposed method.Since the satellite is an expensive equipment, there are fewer opportunity to makeexperiment on the satellite directly. The development of simulation platform provides avery convenient and important way in satelite formation. A web-based3D real-timesatelite simulation platform designed in the paper can solve problems in real-timesimulation and3D monitoring. In simulation experiment, the coordinated controlalgorithm is employed and has good performance.
