With the increasing environment complexity of future air combat and thedevelopment of weapon performance, as a modern and efficient offensive andcommunication weapon, near space hypersonic aircraft has great strategicsignificance and value. The research of defense technology against hypersonicaircraft has become increasingly important. Difficulties of intercepting fast, highmaneuvering target lies in detection and interception. The three aspects of detectiondifficultity are:(1) affections from aerospace background electromagnetic waves, reflection and refraction;(2) affections on detection system from strong impact withtarget high-speed flight on atmospheric;(3) limited field of view and low detectionaccuracy of the interceptor detection system. The three aspects of interceptiondifficultity are:(1) short reaction time due to high speed of the target;(2) uncertainmaneuverability of the target;(3) poor trajectory repair ability of the interceptorsdue to short terminal guidance time. Therefore, consider using multiple interceptorsto collaborate in order to improve detection accuracy, complete the guidance task. Inthis paper, cooperative guidance for multiple interceptors is studied. Main reserchincludes the following aspects:Firstly, the guidance problem is formulated. Based on several assumptions, thekinematics equations of the interceptors and the target, as well as the relativekinematics equations between the interceptors and target are established. Based onthe analysis of target motion, proper cooperative guidance program is given, and theguidance process involving multiple interceptors is described and analyzed.Secondly, through data sharing, multiple interceptors accomplish detection ofthe target region cooperatively using interactive multimodel (IMM) estimationmethod. Each interceptor can exchange information with any other one. Thanks todata fusion, target detection resource is shared between interceptors, such that thedetection range shall be expanded and detection accuracy shall be improved.Through IMM Filtering, the estimative values of relative motions betweeninterceptors and the target are obtained, and furtherly the predictive probabilitydensity distribution of the target region is obtained, which is priori information todesign the cooperative terminal guidance law.Thirdly, based interceptor formation control theory, the midterm coursecooperative guidance law is designed for multiple interceptors. In order to ensurethat the target region falls within the field of view of the interceptors at the handoverfrom intermediate to terminal guidance, handover conditions are analyzed andconstraint conditions of formation parameters are given. Then formation control law is designed to achieve formation keeping and tracking, so that the handover fromintermediate to terminal guidance can be accomplished and the interceptors areguided towards the target area smoothly. Finally, based on dynamic target coverage theory, cooperative terminalguidance law for multiple interceptors is designed. Centralized control strategy isadopted, and one interceptor is selected as the leader. The leader optimizes eachinterceptor’s ballistic trajectory and control them cooperatively. Based on dynamictarget coverage theory, the reachable sets of the interceptors are positioned to coverthe target dynamic region as much as possible, such that the probability ofinterception is maximized. The method is verified by simulation.
