The inflatable speed reducer has plenty of advantages, such as light weight, smallvolume, large resistance area after unfolded and small aerodynamic heating. Theinflatable reducer can realize excellent deceleration by large expansion resistance, at thesame time, the thermal protection system (TPS) consisted of flexible composite canprotect decelerator from high temperature effect caused by aerodynamic heating. In thereentry process, there are many problems, such as aerodynamic and aerodynamicheating of inflatable decelerator, aerodynamic forces acting on the inflatable structures,aerodynamic heating effect on the heat shield. To solve these problems can providecertain reference for reliable deceleration of inflatable decelerator.Aimed at the hypersonic reentry deceleration, this paper has established theanalysis model and numerical calculation method which is determined by flow controlequations. Secondly, the aerodynamic parameters of reentry decelerator in differentflight conditions, including no angle of attack and various angles of attack are analyzedand the calculation reliability has been verified. Then, comparative analysis ofaerodynamic drag and variation of temperature have been carried out at different flightspeeds. At the same time, this section has compared effects of half cone angles on theaerodynamic deceleration. Finally, combined with the actual flight conditions ofatmospheric parameters, we have acquired aerodynamic drag and high temperaturealong the structure at different Maher numbers in flight.Based on the solution of geometrically nonlinear problems, this section focuses onthe static characteristics of the inflatable decelerator during its pressurizing. First of all,according to the theory of geometric nonlinear, this section has established the staticanalysis model of inflatable decelerator, in the meantime, discussed geometricallynonlinear deformation and static characteristics of different components.Then, we haveobtained the influence rules in consideration of pressures and structural parameters.Considering the flight aerodynamic drag, we also analyze static characteristic in thecase of internal and external pressure. The above results can provide a reference basisfor inflatable decelerator pressure launch and flight dynamics.According to the thermal analysis of inflatable decelerator thermal protectionsystem, this paper has proposed the analysis method of instantaneous temperature field,and studied the effects of various material parameters on inflatable decelerator’s thermalprotection system. First of all, we have obtained the establishment of a thermal analysismodel according to the thermal protection system at present. Then, this section hasresearched the thermal performance of inflatable decelerator thermal protection systemby means of transient temperature field analysis. Finally, we have compared the impactsof thermal protection layer with different material parameters on thermal performance.
