Study On The Co-opetition Relationship Between Bus Lines Based On Layout

Urban conventional bus transportation is an effective trip mode to solve trafficcongestion, scientific and reasonable bus planning and operation management isimperative. The phenomenon of cooperation and competition between bus lines isobvious. In order to plan reasonably bus lines and improve transport efficiency of busline, it is necessary to identify the co-opetition between bus lines. Therefore, it haspractical significance to study on the co-opetition between bus lines based on layout.Combined with co-opetition theories, the co-opetition between bus lines wasqualitatively analyzed. The factors, the types and the layout of bus lines withco-opetition were discussed. According to the two-dimensional structure of co-opetitionbetween bus lines, quantitative analysis of co-opetition was done by using dichotomousapproach. In the view of passenger trip, the concept of a pair stations with cooperationand a pair stations with competition was introduced, and the measure methods andformulas of cooperation relationship and competition relationship were proposed basedon the layout. The cooperation coefficient and competition coefficient between normalbus lines were analyzed.Based on the measure of cooperation relationship and competition relationshipbetween bus lines, the urban bus co-oprtition relationship network was built. Combinedwith the two-dimensional relationship between cooperation and competition, the busco-oprtition relationship network that includes cooperation relationship and competitionrelationship was integrated into a weighted network with single relationship. Thenetwork characteristics of bus co-oprtition relationship network with weight wereanalyzed by using social network analysis, and the position of bus lines was discussed.According to the cliques analysis, the clustering method of bus lines based onco-opetition was put forward and calculation process was given combined withUCINET software. Finally, empirical study was done to verify the rationality andpracticality of the method by taking Qiqihar urban bus lines as an example.Study on the co-opetition between bus lines based on layout can cluster bus lines atthe stage of bus lines layout planning, which provides a scientific basis for thesubsequent different bus operation and management.
