With the growing of the national economy, the develop of the construction industry is better than before. Because of its height, boom length, lifting volume andother characteristics, the tower crane has been of great importance in buildingconstruction. However, the tower crane accidents is constantly increasing with thedevelopment of the tower crane business. And if an accident occurs, it will causehuge personal injury and property damage. The relevant state departmentsintroducted and still improving “tower crane safety rules” in order to reduce theoccurrence of the tower crane accident. At prsent, the protection of the domestictower crane stay in the “four limit two insurance” stage, staying obvious deficiency.Based on the research of the tower crane safety monitoring system in domestic,the paper proposed tower crane anti-collision safety monitoring system based onDSP system, combining the detection sensor technology, microelectronics, datatransmission technology. The design is focusing on tower crane’s safety systemhardware, software and data communication with PC.First, this paper studies the basic working mechanism of tower crane.Determining the the mechanism principle and select the ppropriate weight sensor,lifting height sensor and vehicle range sensor, according to the detection method oftower crane parameters.Designing A/D conversion circuit, data display circuit,alarm circuit system, in order to achieve the liquid crystal display for display theparameters that through the A/D conversion transported to the DSP processor, anddata processing in the system, and transmitted to display. To achieve this goal, usingCCS3.3software debugging tools circuit to prepare the corresponding DSP programaccording to the hardware.And then study the anti-collision of the tower crane. Designing the serialcommunication between DSP system and PC machine. Using customcommunication protocol model for data transmission, the DSP system cantransmitted the parameter to the PC machine.The parameter are transformed into the coordinates of tower crane based ontheir coordinates. Using the second transformation converts it into a coordinate onthe base coordinate system, so as to determine position coordinates of rope, towerarm segment. Using the hierarchy bound volume algorithm to gain the part of towercrane that may happen collision. Adopting the method of dissimilation surface linecollision problem will become into a distance problem. If the distance is less thanthe safe distance, a collision will occur, and the alarm signal will be transmitted toDSP system. Finally, take the experimental verification. According to the hardware circuitand software program design, connecting the circuit chip, loading the softwareprogram into the DSP system. And then debug inspection the circuit and theprogram in order to achieve the real-time display of the tower cran parameters.Connect the DSP and PC through the RS-232interface, realize the tower craneparameter data transmission to the PC machine, and study the possibility ofcollision between tower cranes to prevent it.
