The cable vibration test is carried out in the relevant cable-stayed bridge vibration testing, mainly toensure that they have sufficient tension for the entire bridge. Because the number of cable-stayed bridge’ssafety have a major social, economic, political and even military significance. In order to protect theirnormal operations and services and prevent the occurrence of disasters to the bridge structure, cable-stayedbridge cable vibration detection is very important. The cable vibration detect mainly through theacceleration sensors and other equipment on-site measurement of real-time data acquisition, datapre-processing and analysis, and through the corresponding communication system to send data to theinformation center, store, query, diagnosis, early warning. The bridge maintenance personnel observe,judge to avoid an accident through this important means of control. The modal analysis technology is amodern method to research structure dynamic characteristics, and this method identify the modalparameters of vibration system from test data.This paper studied cable force monitoring systems based on embedded system and proposed adetection scheme based on dual-core DSP. It can be a chip system that can achieve signal preprocessing,modal analysis, data transmission and other functions. We can solve the mounting space and long-termsupply issues in front of the bridge remote monitoring,and give full play to their respective advantages ofdual-core. The ARM core use to implement other control input and output signals, and the DSP core use toprocess signal.In this paper, we compared common time-domain modal analysis algorithm, using time domain modalanalysis techniques to identify the natural frequency of the cable, without artificial incentives, savinghuman and material resources to achieve unattended remote monitoring online foundation. According to thecharacteristics of dual-core DSP systems, we select the features of the system using a classical algorithm toidentify the fundamental frequency, and use a random vibration reduction technology for signalpreprocessing, getting free response signal for modal analysis algorithm processing.This paper selects the SEED-DEC138industry reference design platform, development and transplantoptimization modal analysis algorithm key by using dual core chip OMAP-L138and preprocessingalgorithm, and the design and implementation of the humanized operation interface based on QT. Throughthe actual cable vibration signal Zhaobaoshan Bridge, we proved effectiveness and practicability ofembedded cable force detection system based on modal analysis technology.And through a series offunctionality and performance test analysis, the practical application of project site designed in this paperproves the correctness, effectiveness and adaptability.
