Because of the unique structure,beautiful appearance,spanning capacity and othercharacteristics,The bridge-builders favored it.Cable-stayed has smaller quality,flexibility, and frequency characteristics,It is very prone to substantial lateralvibration in wind-rain induced vibration,making destroy effects on the cable.Socable-stayed is extremely urgent to control vibration in wind-rain inducedvibration,But wind-rain induced vibration is very complicated.The slow progress oftheoretical research.Study on negative damping of the cable-stayed in wind-raininduced vibration in this paper.This has far-reaching implications for quantitativecontrol cable,the following major elements:1. An overview of the development of cable-stayed bridge and wind-rain inducedvibration of cable, Analysis with two degrees of freedom model in wind-rain inducedvibration,Elaborated aerodynamic negative damping affect on cable vibration,Usingfinite element analysis the inherent characteristics of the test cable;Take advantage ofrandom decrement method and the least squares method to equivalent modal dampingratio of test cable.2. Projects background of Yue Yang Dong Ting Bridge, establishingobservatories of wind-rain induced vibration,collecting data of observation ofwind-rain induced vibration of stay cables and general vibration, Hamming filter tothe observed data,Qualitative analysis relationship between aerodynamic negativedamping ratio and wind speed, wind direction, rainfall.Several times analysis to windand rain induced vibration,Reveal the characteristics of the aerodynamic negativedamping ratio.Obtain maximum aerodynamic negative vibration dampingratio,providing a reference of wind-rain induced vibration of stay cables.3. Summarized this paper,proposed the further research way to aerodynamicnegative damping ratio.Specified to optimize the direction of the friction damper.
