Water lubricated rubber alloy bearing is a kind ofspecial bearing, which can beenvironmental protection, energy saving, high efficiency and long life characteristics.People have pay more and more attention to the research about the water lubricatedrubber alloy bearing which is based on resource saving and environment-friendlyproperty,with the prices of fossil energy,precious metals go up and the deteriorating ofthe environment. As the water lubricated rubber alloy bearings are mainly used inmarine propulsion systems, which works with great uncertainly,therefore,its usereliability directly affects the the safety and economic of navigation. This paper focuseson the research of the reliability of water lubricated rubber alloy bearing,and studiestwo aspects of the bearing from wear and fatigue of the reliability life. The maincontents are as follows:Firstly, in order to study the wear of the bearing better, the article analyzes theprocess of establishing and derivation associated with bearing lubrication as ReynoldsEquation. And use this equation to derive formulas of Sommerfeld Number.Then usesthe Streibeck curve to study the change mechanism of bearing lubrication condition,aswell as the reason to choose the load as the acceleration factor.Secondly, the article sdudies the reliability theory of water lubricated rubber alloybearing including the calculation of the important features of reliability, the commondistribution of the reliability life.Then use Weibull distribution to analyze the wear lifemodel of water lubricated rubber alloy bearing and how to use the Gray Estimation tosolve out the parameters of Weibull Distribution.Again, It studies the wear mechanism of the wear process between bearings andbearing liner, uses experiment to sovle out the various parameters of the Meeks Model.It uses the model as a basis for accelerated factor conversion and carry on thewater-lubricated bearings accelerated life test, and receive five groups of experimentaldata. Finally, uses this data to solve the parameters of the Weibull Distribution toobtain reliable wear life distribution model of the water lubricated rubber alloy bearing.Finally, the article uses the software Abaqus to model the model of water lubricatedrubber bearing system, After cell division,import the modle to the professional fatiguesimulation software which is called Fe-safe to simulate the fatigue life of the bearingreliability. The result shows that the bearing has a long fatigue life, and fatigue life of the bearing has a greater contact with the local stress.
