With development of economic, the sizes of cities are expanding and the trafficis increasing, the fatigue of concrete becomes a problem that can not be ignored. Inorder to meet the development of the transport of heavy vehicles, bridges of urbantransport lines need to assume the task of large-scale transport and heavy equipment. It is becoming an urgent issue that we should concern that overloaded vehicles couldhave how much impact on concrete of existing reinforced concrete bridges.1. The principle of fatigue damage on reinforced concrete structures, theprediction methods of fatigue life and the analysis process of fatigue damage wereanalyzed and summarized systematically.2. Strain data on existing bridges of cities were monitored. Strain data that havebeen monitored on-site were analyzed. We found that the ratio of stress field testingand theoretical stress is at0.8to1.0when in a more stable environment in the night,,the calculation model MIDAS Civil is reliable.3. Made a qualitative and quantitative analysis on bridges stress in differentvehicle types and different speeds based on the MIDAS model, by comparing thestatic analysis and dynamic analysis, get a results of the affection of vehicle weightand speed to the bridge dynamic effects.4. Based on the analysis of cumulative fatigue damage by overloaded vehicles onreinforced concrete bridges, made a preliminary forecast on fatigue life of the bridge.By comparing the cumulative fatigue damage of all vehicles on the bridge, we canconcluded: fatigue progressive damage of the bridge is basically caused by theoverloading of vehicles. So we should take more attention to the impact of overloadedvehicles on the fatigue life of reinforced concrete bridges.
